Location: Udaipur haveli
Anandi comes upto wish and looks lost. She says that she knows shiv must have felt very bad last night and apologizes for it. Shiv asks her not to, saying that he just wanted the night to be the most memorable night of their life. He wanted to show her how beautiful she would look in the light of the candles. if she has to, she would have to apologize to the candles which kept burning whole night in the hope that she would wake up. He says that she would have to compensate for last night. When she asks how, he says that she would have to fulfill her promise to spend a whole day with him, without any interference from friends, relatives, family and work. She says what would she say to the family and they would be hurt if they dont go. He says she could make an excuse and she is apalled at the fact that she would have to lie. He finishes her sentence saying that he knows the nose grows if people lie. she asks how does he know, he replies that he knows her more than she does him and would have a perfect score if they play a game of how much one knows the other. She makes an excuse of family waiting downstairs for her and leaves. shiv is determined that he would definitely spend the entire day with her alone today to be able to know her and her insecurities better.
Downstairs, everybody is getting ready to go to the picnic. Anandi comes and shiv follows her. He shows that he is ready to go. Then while going out, shiv clutches his stomach hard and feigns to have a stomach ache. Everybody is concerned but mahi somehow understands that shiv is upto something. In order to check him, he goes close to him, and shiv tells him that he is just pretending and that mahi has to get the family out of the house. Mahi gets up and says that its just a muscle pull and that its nothing to worry about. Ira expresses her concerns on going when shiv is sick but mahi manages to convince them and take them out of th house. Mahi tells anandi to take care of him. Ira instructs anandi to give him some ginger ale for his ache.
After they are gone, anandi goes to the kicthen and finding the mixer, makes a glass full of ginger ale for him. She turns around to leave the kitchen and collides into shiv, standing behind her and is startled and hence drops the glass. Shiv says that she shouldnt be scared and also tells her that he was faking to spend some time with her alone. She gets nervous while he romntically progresses towards her. He tells her that his nose wont grow due to his lie since he said it for a good purpose. And that was to be with her alone. Their romance is interrupted by a knock on the door. shiv is frustrated while anandi is somewhat relieved.
Location: Jaitsar haveli
Lal singh checks on sumitra and telling her that she’s much better since she took his advice. Therefore, to award him, he takes out tamarind sweets from his packet. Sumitra is immediately reminded of jagdish who used to give him such sweets when she used to be sick or feel low. Lal tries to cheer her up saying that he’s around only and is amongst them. But sumitra is far from feeling relieved. She breaks down into tears remembering her son. Gehna takes her up stairs. Dadisa watching all this is reminded of Vishnu saying that he saw lal where he spotted jagdish. She comes upto him and tells that they cant seem to find jagiya anywhere. Lal singh remembers his conversation with jagiya and says that they would soon find out. dadisa tells him that she’s sent somebody for this job and thinks that its better that he, who is jagiya’s best friend, knows about this. lal singh thinks to himself that he cant see jagiya’s family in torture like this, pining over him. He decides to talk to jagiya about this. Dadisa seeing that he’s quiet, tells him that they need to find jagiya soon to restore peace and serenity in the haveli. He takes his leave while his mind occupied with thoughts.
Location: A primary health care centre in Laxmibhag Village
An arrogant man walks in with his wife under a veil and his mother and demands that his wife be treated instant./ Jagiya says that he would have to wait for his turn. The man, who jagiya recognizes meeting last night and telling which way the lady went and was responsible for the lady being caught and taken away, says that he wouldnt wait and asks the villagers if anybody has a problem with that. they deny and go out of the clinic. He then tells the veiled girl to go over to jagdish rudely and to sit down on the chair so that he can treat. Jagiya is startled at the rudeness and says that he recognizes him from last night. he asks the man, who was that girl and what happened to her. They are surprised on hearing jagdish.
Location: A primary health care centre in Laxmibhag Village
The villager tells him to let the case be and just treat. He begins advising about first aid to burns. The person tells him that its waste to tell anything to her since she wont understand. Jagiya is told by the same villager to treat burn wounds on his wife’s legs. He tries to ask what caused it and is told that they were caused due to the girl’s negligency and laziness. He says that he would like to hear from the girl herself. but her mother in law says that the girls of this house do not talk to strangers. The husband too asks him to just treat her. He resigns and starts attending to her burns. She squirms at his touch and he looks up to find her gagged so that she’s unable to speak. He is shocked to see this. He remembers as the girl who ran away from him last night. Before he can react, her family take her from there.
Location: Udaipur haveli
A courier arrives for shiv and anandi from ashima. She has sent a message for them saying that she sends her good wishes for them through this message. Anandi finds out that she has sent a lacy nightie for her and is nervous in front of shiv. When shiv asks how she liked the gift, she hides it and says that she loved it. When shiv asks her to show it, she embarrassedly shows it to shiv who is amused while anandi is flustered. He tells her that she sent it for him not her. She is all the more nervous. She changes the topic saying that dadisa used to call ashima lapundari as in a way she was scared of her stealing shiv from anandi. Shiv says that she could never have stolen him since his heart already went out to the most beautiful person already in the haveli. she is shy again. Shiv then asks her to get ready as they have to leave. When she asks where, shiv tells her that they would go to see udaipur. she says that she too has something of interest to see in udaipur. When shiv asks where, she says that she would tell when they reach. They leave.
Location: In the market place
Shiv and anandi are roaming around in the market and they stop at a saree shop on anandi’s insistence. Whiel anandi asks permission for buying some sarees for herself, he agrees but is perplexed as to what could be possible reason for her shifting to sarees when she’s so comfortable in her traditional dresses. while anandi tries to ward off the matter saying, that she is just headed towards some change which is good in anyone’s life. shiv is unconvinced and suddenly it dawns on her that she has taken this step due to sanchi. He tells her that she shouldnt change anything about herself under sanchi’s demands. She says that she’s not under pressure and that he shouldnt get in the middle of her and sanchi. She explains that she’s doing this because its worth the effort if sanchi gets friendly with her. and after all, somebody has to make the first effort and she doesnt lose anything by being the first one.
Shiv says that he would agree on one condition and that is if she decides to call him by his name. She gets shy and doesnt say anything. however when she tries on sarees, he asks her to ask him what she thinks of it. She shyly asks addressing hm as shiv as to how the saree looks on her. He is very happy and buys her many more sarees than she wanted. He says that she has made him so happy that he might just buy her the whole shop. She looks up at him in admiration.
