Tej comes to Chanda’s room and closes the door. She asks him to keep the door open. He says, you’re yelling too much. Keep quiet.
Chanda says, you’re disgusting Tej. You deceived me and married who? Veer’s first wife?
Tej holds her hair and asks her to shut up.
Chanda says, you cannot do anything to me now… there’s one person in this house who knows where I was and in which condition I was. If something happens to me now, the countdown begins for ou.
Tej says, don’t act clever with me… I will make a shoe-brush out of your hair (LOL). Tell me what you’ve told Tapasya so far? Tell me!
Chanda says, I didn’t tell her anything.
Tej says, if you lie one more time I will burn your tongue.
Chanda says, I only told her I wanted to marry you and you deceived me.
He says, is that all you told her? She was telling me that you told her everything.
Chanda says, she’s very clever… she has deceived you with her threats. You wanted to marry a young girl right?
See what happened to you? You got married to someone who has a grown-up daughter.
Tej says you’re talking too much, I will have to cut your tounge out.
Chanda says if something happens to me, Tapasya will not leave you! That’s why it will be good for you if you stay away from me.
One more thing, until I’m quiet, you can live in this house peacefully… otherwise…
Tej picks up his hand as if to punch her, but stops… and leaves the room.
Rathore entering a dark room (looks like a hotel room) and turning the light on. Mukta says surprise!
Rathore is so happy and says what a pleasant surprise. He hugs Mukta… then sees Icha in the room too.
He says, I’m sorry, is it some special day? Am I forgetting something?
Mukta says, it’s not a special day, but I’ve brought something special for you. She makes him sit and Icha serves pasta.
Mukta says, Icha Maa made it and I helped her.
Rathore tastes it and says I’ve eaten Pasta in so many Italian restaurants, but this is the best. It’s been so many days that someone has made Pasta for me with so much love… Tapasya made it for me everyday… and he pauses…
He coughs and puts the fork down. Mukta goes away to bring water for him.
Rathore gets up and pours a glass of wine, and gulps it down.
Then pours again…
Icha is watching.
He turns around and sees Ichha and says I’m sorry… I shouldn’t have done that in front of you. I don’t normally do this… I only drink every evening when I’m alone.
Icha says, do you spend every evening like this?
Rathore says, do you know? For so many years, I didn’t stop going to the office for one single day. People must think I love money and fame so much… but who wants to earn money?
I go there because time passes, life goes on…
My problem is that I can’t say what’s in my heart… there was no one since childhood to share my thoughts with… those that were with me left one by one. Tapasya left me, Daija went to your Bhagwaan. If I didn’t have a battle with your Bhagwaan, I would have committed suicide long ago. But I won’t lose the battle with him… I won’t… so I made friendship with this (looking at the glass of wine). She never leaves me, never goes away, doesn’t break your heart or the relationship. The only complaint I have with her is, when I made friendship with her, I only asked for one promise from her… that those memories that I have, make me forget those… I drink so much, but those memories don’t go away. But then, I made a compromise. I sit down every evening with two of my friends – wine and my memories. It’s a good life.
Icha says, but Mr. Rathore, Tappu has come back now.
He says, I don’t have any rights on her. It’s been a long time that I bid goodbye to that relationship. Icha is shocked to hear that.
She says, relations might end… but the responsibilities with that relation never go away. And the way I know you, you’re not somenoe who will back away from responsibilities.
You have such a pretty daughter… do you want her to spend every evening alone like you?
She needs you… come to meet her, make her come to meet you. Spend time with each other… why would you need alcohol?
Mukta comes back with a glass of water…
Rathore looks at her and says you’re right… she’s my motivation to stay alive, to keep breathing. He asks Mukta to come give him a hug.
He says Thank You to Icha and Mukta too.
Mukta says what happened?
Rathore says, thank you for bringing such a big surprise for me.
He takes Mukta’s hand and sits down with her. Icha also sits.
Rathore says, tomorrow is your case hearing in the court… don’t get scared, don’t give up.
Mukta says, I’m Mukta Rathore papa, I won’t get scared.
Rathore gives her a high-five.
He says, you’ve changed completely. When she talks so courageously, I see you in her (talking to Icha).
He says, I will never be able to pay back your ‘ehsaan’.
Icha says, Mukta is my friend Tapasya’s daughter. I can do anything to get her justice because she’s right.
Rathore says, but Tapasya never thought of you as her friend.
She always did bad for you…
Mukta thinks – Papa is still thinking mom is bad?
Icha says, whatever Tapasya did, there was a reason behind it. She thought I had taken her place in the house. She thought I snatched her father’s love from her… a little child had such a wound in her heart, that it never got filled. I wish that wound could have been treated in the childhood.
What she did, everyone saw one side of it and they said she was bad. But no Mr. Rathore, Tappu isn’t bad, my friend was never bad… she only wanted love from her family… and to get that love, the method that she chose was always wrong… but my Tappu was never wrong – never. And my heart says, now that she has come back, there’s a purpose behind her return. Otherwise why would she marry Tej Singh? Maybe she has come back to ask for love from her loved ones – maybe.
Icha’s phone rings and she says it’s Papa, I will be right back.
Mukta says to Rathore, you know why Maa is doing it… even then..
Rathore says, I have to say that so people don’t find out what she’s up to. If I don’t say things like that, people will think we know what she’s here for. One last time I wanted to test their friendship. The whole world can misunderstand Tapasya, but she won’t (Icha). Their relationship is really pure.
Mukta says, I’m so scared for Maa. I am so worried. How will Yuvi’s Dadi and Tej Singh behave with her? I am so scared.
Rathore says, do you think I will let something happen to her? Don’t worry I will look after her. She asked for a little help from me and I have just returned from that work.
Next day:
Jogi calls Mukta and says let’s go we’re getting late. Mukta gets a call from Tapasya on her mobile. She picks it up and Tapasya asks how you are. Mukta says ‘hmmm’. Mukta looks at Nani and nods and Nani understands. Tapasya says, your quiet tells me you’re not alone.
It’s such a big day for you… don’t get scared… my blessings are always with you. Mukta says thanks.
Tapasya asks if Mukta can make her hear Jogi’s voice.
Mukta says one minute… she doesn’t cut the phone and touches Jogi’s feet and says I need your blessings.
Jogi says, you want my blessings so you don’t hesitate walking the path of truth? My blessings are always with you.
Tappu gets emotional on the other side.
Mukta does the same with Divya and Divya blesses her too.
Divya/Jogi start talking to each other, Mukta walks away from them and asks Tapasya if she heard them.
Mukta says, Bari Maa misses you so much.
Tappu asks, and what about Papa? Do you call him Barey Papa?
Mukta says yes.
Icha comes and Tappu hears her on the phone.
Icha gives aarti to Mukta and Mukta touches her feet for blessings.
Icha says, daughters don’t touch mother’s feet… my blessings are with you… no power in this world can defeat you. May you be successful and happy always.
Tappu is listening and crying on the other side of the phone.
Icha takes the pooja thali to Jogi/Divya and Mukta goes back on the phone.
Tappu says, today is a test for Icha too. Your Icha Maa has to witness against her own son. May God give strength to both you and Icha.
Mukta says, Maa, that strength is in you too, otherwise you wouldn’t have gone in that house in my place. I am proud of you.
Tapasya says, and I’m proud of you too.
Mukta says, and I’m proud to be your daughter too.
