While putting her son to sleep, ganga remembers jagiya’s words,a s tears stroll down her cheeks. She again gets back to her son who seems disturbed, when she is called by her mother in law

Anandi asks for permission to go to her place as she has made food for them. Meenu gives permission also asking sanchi to go with her. but sanchi refuses citing an excuse. As anandi leaves, sanchi starts spewing venom about anandi as usual despite meenu’s attempts at trying to talk some sense into her. She says that due to her maturity, anandi is disturbed that there’s noone to attend to her family. But she doesnt see sense into meenu’s words accusing anandi’s famiyl too of suffocating shiv with their love and distancing him away from his own family. Meenu says that what anandi’s family is doing is out of love and not suffocation. But sanchi tells meenu that anandi’s preference for her famiyl is never going to change even after 10 years and leaves.
Anandi apologizes for her behaviour yesterday saying that she was very disturbed. Dadisa says that they arent angry but worried for her. Bhairo says that they are terribly sad for jagiya’s departure, but they have no option but to wait for him to return. Anandi sys that she would ask shiv too to take this matter seriously and says that he himself proposed to find out about jagiya. sumitra says that she doesnt think its ok to involve him in this. Bhairo too supports sumitra’s words. Dadisa too supports them saying that this family’s problems affecting them would be an injustice to shiv and his family. Bhairo says that he would come on his own and they shouldnt force jagiya to return. Dadisa doesnt agree here for she wishes to get him back asap. But bhairo says that they should respect Jagiya’s wish to complete his penance and then return home with grace.

Ganga is making chapatis in the kitchen and then goes out to feed her family. She hurriedly gets back to her work in the kitchen. Ratan’s second wife asks him to eat nicely. They together reprimand ganga for being lax and scold her to get the chapatis faster. When she comes in front of them, they again get on their usual behaviour of torturing her unnecessairly. ganga leaves. just then the child starts crying and ganga is upset hearing his noise, while working in the kitchen. she comes out to feed the baby, despite her mother in law telling her to feed the family first. After ganga leaves, they starst bitching about her that she looks for ways to get rid of work all the time. Ratan’s second wife too cribs when she is asked to get chapatis for them.
Ratan’s father asks ratan as to whats the reason that they are still bearing ganga in their house. Ratan says that for now, she is a free servant and to their advantage. His father says that they should keep in mind that she’s getting incrasingly attached to her son. Ratan assures his dad that as soon as the baby gets a little older, and doesnt need his mother anymore, he wouldnt hesitate in throwing her out of the house. Ganga, hearing this, from a distance, is shocked to hear them.

Meenu appreciates the jalebis that anandi’s family has got for her, but sanchi as usual when asked to taste some, refuses citing calorie reasons. Shiv arrives and meenu decides to surprise him with the jalebis. Shiv comes and says that he’s got a surprise for her, and asks anandi to guess. when she cant, shiv shows the jalebis that he has brought for her. sanchi says that his surprise is spoiled since anandi’s family already gave her this surprise only. Seeing shiv disappointed, anandi says that she would taste his jalebis also. this cheers up shiv again as anandi tactfully handles the situation. Sanchi just to irk anandi, says that she would try shiv’s brought sweets and leaves.
Shiv asks meenu that he needs to go for a surprise checkup on some health care center and orphanages in laxmibhaag village and if he could take anandi with him. meenu says jokingly that he shouldnt beat around the bush, just to get her to agree on taking his wife out to spend some time with him, and that he should do whatever he decides, since she’s his wife. Getting her permission, Shiv thinks to himself that today he would put all of anandi’s and her family’s tensions to rest and spread cheer on their faces.
