Mukta comes to her room and asks her where she’s lost?
Mukta says, Meethi came back home just now and Vishnu has proposed her… me and Kanha bhaiya teased her a lot… she blushed and went away. You come too.
Icha says, no that’s okay, you enjoy.
Mukta says, we’re just talking of your daughter’s ‘bidayee’ and you’re already sad… what happened?
Icha says, I’ve seen so many ups and downs in life that even these little acts of happiness make me scared.
She says, I find some things about Vishnu quite odd…
Mukta says what do you mean?
Icha says, maybe it’s a misunderstanding, but it’s a mother’s heart and it’s getting weird feelings.
Mukta says, but you know him… you’re the one who chose him for Meethi.
Icha says, yes, I know he’s a good boy but there are a couple of things about him that were weird.
Mukta says, about him?
Icha says yes, there are little things, but even then Mukta my heart is not settled.
Mukta takes her and sits with her on the bed… asks her to explain what she means?
Icha has a flashback of Vishnu telling her that he couldn’t spend time with his father.
Icha says, Vishnu told me that he couldn’t spend much time with his dad, but as far as I remember, Vishnu’s dad had left him and his mother even before Vishnu was born!! Then why did he say that?
Then again, when I took kheer for him in the temple, he said he liked the chocolates I used to give in the jail… and he used to hate chocolate and I remember it so clearly because when I used to give chocolate to all kids, he used to hate it. All children loved it and he didn’t. He never took chocolates from me.
Mukta says, Ma, you’re overthinking it… don’t think that much.
Icha says, maybe… she’s my daughter that’s why I’m overthinking it… when I think of the past, I remember another past friendship – Vishnu’s friend.
When he comes back to the house, I will ask him about his friend.
Icha brings a group photo from the cupboard and says, the one next to me is Vishnu… and the other boy is Gopal. He was very naughty… he was 3 years younger than Vishnu. Gopal was an orphan and Vishnu loved him like a little brother. He used to call him ‘laddoo’ with love…
Their friendship was exemplary… whatever mischiefs Gopal was upto, Vishnu took blame for all of them.
Mukta says, just like you saved my mother…
Icha says, me and Tappu weren’t less than anyone. I was very naughty…
Icha has flashback of throwing her b’day cake in basti. She tells Mukta about that incident.
Then stealing Tappu’s video-game and getting scolded and punished for that.
She remembers, Tapasya and her dancing on the street to get money for Damini…
Those were fun times… whatever I am today is because of Tappu (OF COURSE LOL!)
She says, if Tappu didn’t come in my life, I would have been someone else… she was the one who insisted that I stay in this house… otherwise I don’t know where I would have been?
Honestly, Tappu has a golden heart… when she was angry she could create havoc and those she loves, she wants to get the moon and stars for her.
Mukta says, she’s still like that… she still loves…
Mukta catches herself and goes quiet.
Icha says, what do you mean?
Mukta says, I mean to say, my mother must love you as much as she used to love you then… now stop thinking and go to sleep.
Mukta says Good Night and leaves.
Icha says, now I only have Tappu in my memories.
Tappu about to enter her room when Tej blocks her way with two hands… Tappu says, have you sprayed mosquito-killing medicine inside that you’re running out??
Tej says, you think you’re very smart?? You went to Chanda’s room and did some spying and got the same type of jewellery made so she could fight with me.
Tapasya says, after all this drama, I found out one thing… that there’s some relation between Daddaji’s death and you.
Tej says, so what would you do? Will you complain to the police? Will you try to put the fear of jail and law to me? Do you have some proof?
Tapasya says, when I’ve found out there’s some connection between Daddaji’s death and you… then I will find the proof too… what’s the big deal? I wanted to talk to you… I don’t have any old enmity with you… neither do I have anything to do with you… you just stop coming in my way and I will stop bothering you.
I came in this house with another purpose… and I promise you that I won’t even let you know that I’m in the house.
