Nani telling Mukta that she came to say that Mukta shouldn’t marry Tej Singh.
Mukta says, you’re the one who told me that’s the only way left… please don’t think I’m doing it because you said it, I’m doing it for Icha Maa.
Nani says, you shouldn’t ruin your life for Icha and this marriage will not happen.
Rathore comes in the room and says, who is Mukta marrying?
Nani/Mukta both shocked. Both of them stand up.
Rathore asks Nani should I repeat the question? Who is marrying Mukta?
Nani says, no Raghuvendra beta, your daughter has grown up, proposals are coming her way and I was telling her it’s her age to study… that’s what we were talking about.
Rathore says, you don’t have to take the pressure, you have become old… what you had to do, you did already. Mukta’s marriage responsibility is mine. Thakur sahab is at home, and so am I. Mukta’s here until now because she’s been here since childhood, and Thakur Sahab is attached to her and so is she, or she would have been with me. Her marriage is my responsibility.
Nani says, you’re right beta. That’s what I was trying to tell her in my own way. I should leave now, what would I do between a father-daughter. Nani leaves.
Rathore asks Mukta, is she showing some ‘nani-giri’ again lol
Mukta says, no Papa.
He says, I don’t know how many moments you would have missed me. I wasn’t with you for so many years. Birthdays, school functions – don’t know what else I have missed. I want to compensate those moments now… all that I missed, I want to give you something back.
As far as my princess’s wedding is concerned, it will be with my princess’s agreement to a prince. Mukta has Tej’s image in her mind.
He says, my daughter is sensible, she’s Mukta Rathore. She won’t marry an ordinary person. He will be sensible, educated and from a good family… you would like him too. Then there will be beautiful mehndi on your beautiful hands… and you will leave this house.
I don’t have a lot of time with you.
You have to finish your studies, make a career, be an independent woman – I don’t have any time left with you. He sits down on the bed with her.
He says, let’s become friends for a few days… then I will find out what you like. What type of dresses, food, gifts – perfumes, which type of boys. Does Mukta Rathore have a boyfriend?? Don’t be scared, tell me… I won’t hit much. lol
Mukta stays quiet.
He says, don’t worry, tell me later. Do you like shopping? Your mother used to love it. Mukta smiles and says yes.
He says, one whole day, just me and you… what Mukta likes, we will do… whatever food she likes, whatever she wants to buy. Whatever Mukta wants will happen.
Meethi comes to the door and sees Rathore/Mukta talking and gets teary eyes.
Rathore asks for a promise from Mukta and Mukta puts her hand in his. Rathore asks her to keep smiling, always.
He starts leaving and Mukta holds his hand and hugs him.
Meethi thinks, how lucky Mukta is… no one answers my question about who my father is? No one. She cries and leaves.
Rathore kisses Mukta’s forehead and asks her if everything’s alright? Mukta nods her head.
Chanda opens the door to a pandit. She asks who you are? He says, I’m a pandit to meet Tej Singh Bundela. Chanda says, he has gone out for some important work. Pandit says, but he asked me to come in the morning to get a muhoorat. He says tell him to give me a call.
He starts leaving. Chanda asks what type of muhoorat?
Pandit says, wedding – Chanda asks whose wedding? He says, Tej Singh Bundela is getting married. That’s what he told me. Pandit leaves and Chanda is furious.
Meethi goes to a place and asks a pandit where Vishnu is. She says, I went to the temple too, he wasn’t there, do you know where he is?
Pandit says, Vishnu’s room is right behind you. Go there and see if he’s inside.
Meethi goes to that door and knocks on the room. No one answers so she opens the door and says ‘anybody home?, Vishnu?’
She goes inside and looks the room is messy. She says, I will clean it up.
She starts putting the room to rights. She picks up his clothes and finds a wooden box on the bed under those clothes.
She is admiring it when Vishnu comes and snatches it away from her.
Vishnu asks her what you’re doing here and why did you touch this box? He takes the box from her and puts it in the cupboard. He says, don’t touch anything that belongs to me without asking me first.
Meethi says, I was just cleaning up the room. I’m sorry.
She says, I guess this was supposed to happen with me… wherever I go, I find I’m unwanted… it was my fault, I shouldn’t have come here. She’s crying and starts leaving.
He comes up to her and says, Meethiji, I’m sorry… it’s my fault. I have a habit of doing all this myself all the time, no one else has done it for me that’s why I got angry.
Meethi says, it’s my fault. I was feeling sad so I thought I should come to you. If I talk to you, I would feel better.
Vishnu says, I said sorry… let me touch my ears too. Now tell me what happened?
Meethi says, I never got my father’s love. I never knew what a father is. I came here to share my grief, but you scolded me too. You won’t understand what it feels like not to have a father…
He says, I don’t have a father either.
She says, but you at least spent your childhood with your father. You have his memories. I don’t have anything. Not his love, nor his memories. I don’t even know his name. She is crying.
Vishnu takes out a handkerchief from his pocket and wipes her tears.
He says, what we don’t have, we shouldn’t cry on it… we should be happy with what we’ve got.
These days we should celebrate the festival and be happy, and Rajkumari Meethi Devi should always be smiling. She smiles and he is happy.
She gives him a box of sweets and says I brought them for you.
Icha is praying in the house temple. Damin comes with a tray of food. She says I brought some fruit and water for you… have it.
Icha says, no Ammo… it’s Karwa Chauth today, I can’t eat or drink anything today. Damini says, the moon has come out, you can eat now… and have some water.
Icha says, Veer is not well, I can’t eat anything now.
Damini says, you did your duty by keeping the fast…
Icha says, if Veer was alright, I would have eaten, but not today. She asks Damini not to insist.
Veer is being given blood in the hospital by the nurse. Doctor cocmes and has a look.
Amla is all dressed up for karwa chauth and sitting in the temple praying. She says, you’re a witness that I kept the fast with all honesty for the first time. It’s late evening now, I haven’t eaten anything. If I don’t eat now, I will die and come to you. Then who will look after my Lalu and my husband?
Just tell me something that my stomach gets filled. Then she pretends as if the idolsaid something to her and she eats Jalebi from a tray on her lap. She says, I controlled a lot. She’s eating an apple too and says if I didn’t eat now, I would have died.
Icha says, give all the strength of my love to Veer. Please make him better quickly bhagwan.
Veer’s hand starts moving in the hospital.
Icha picks up Veer’s photo and touches it. She says to the photo, my heart says you will be better very soon.
Veer opens her eyes and says “Icha”. Doctor says, he’s waking up, call his family. He keeps saying “Icha, Icha”
