Nani drinking something in a restaurant like place. Tej comes and sits down… he says you didn’t order anything?
Nani says, if someone comes and asks me, then I will order. I ordered soup and no one came back with it.
Tej says, mataji, it’s a big restaurant… they take their time.
Nani says, what’s this mataji, mataji?? You’re no less than a ‘dadaji’ yourself LOL
He says, I’m just young lol
Then says, what kind of family have you got? No one came to see you, no one tried to contact you… what’s this?
Nani says, I left the house by my own choice, no one can dare kick me out.
He says, then why are you looking so upset?
She says, don’t try to instigate me against my own family… and before you try to be hospitable to me, please be clear that I won’t let your marriage happen with Mukta.
Tej says, Mukta… Mukta… you took her name and I’ve got guitar playing in my heart. He signals with one finger and the guitar player plays the guitar behind the bushes lol
Nani looks around but Tej says, it’s in my heart you won’t hear it.
Then he says, when I think of Mukta and me, I think of Radha Krishna and the bansuri starts playing… he shows two fingers and the other guy plays it, behind the bushes too.
Nani stands up to look around but he asks her to sit down, all this is in my heart.
Nani’s soup is served and she eats it but doesn’t like it.
Tej gets a call from Chanda and says I’ll be right back.
He goes and declines the call and says already I’m going crazy and she’s calling me again and again. Chanda Rani, I’m trying to do a good deed, don’t bother me.
Chanda gets upset that he cut the phone. She says, I’m going to get his favourite food… and he puts the phone down like that. You can’t trust men!
She comes to the same restaurant and sits down on a table behind Nani.
Nani is scolding the waiter that the soup is horrible. Who puts bread pieces in the soup?
Chanda orders chicken biryani for take-away.
Chanda listens to Nani’s voice and says, I recognize this voice.
She walks up to Nani and says have you come here to eat some food or have you been kicked out?
Nani says, don’t talk to me like that. Remember your place.
Tej comes and sees Chanda sitting with Nani.
Chanda says, you will find out my place in a few days.
Nani says what are you going to do this time?
Chanda says, time will tell… but then you’ll call me Chanda ji.
Tej gets upset that she had to come here today only. I hope she doesn’t say anything.
At that point Chanda tells Nani, very soon I’m going to get married.
Tej tries to get Nani’s attention from behind the bushes by waving his hand and the guys he was paying earlier think of it as the signal and start playing the musical instruments together LOL.
Chanda is surprised to hear music – it’s the tune of Dream Girl.
Chanda says, did you see that? I remembered him and his favourite song started playing.
OK Nani, I’m going now… you take care… at least stay alive until I get married. Nani says, don’t worry I won’t die until I see your funeral. Chanda leaves.
Tej comes and sits down. He looks very worried.
Nani says, why are you getting so nervous looking at her? She’s your relative only? Tej says, I don’t talk to people like her.
Let’s go from here. Nani’s food comes and she says I won’t leave until I eat my food, I have been waiting for it.
Vishnu brings Meethi to a place where lots of kids are playing. She asks what place is this?
He says, let me show you around.
Meethi observes the kids.
Vishnu says, they’re all orphans. But you will still see a smile on their faces. They’re poor, but they have the will to live.
Whatever life throws at them, they never stop smiling.
Meethi sees the kids laughing and playing.
He says, there are so many kids who never got their parents’ love, but they still don’t have hate for anyone in their heart.
Whoever holds their hand with love, is their mother… and whoever stops them from falling down is like a devta to them.
He helps a kid on crutches from falling down and walks away from there to a different group of children.
That boy on crutches brings a flower for Meethi and she smiles and says thanks.
Vishnu comes back and says you’re amazed at seeing them?
It’s not that they don’t miss their parents… they do miss them… because the truth is that no one can replace your parents.
But these kids have found happiness in small things in life because someone showed them the right path and gave them the right education.
Vishnu bringing Meethi to Damini Pathshala (she doesn’t know it’s Damini Pathshala). He says, look at these kids closely, they’re all orphans but you will see a smile on this face all the time. They’re poor, but they’ve got a will to live.
Meethi observes them and feels happy.
Vishnu says, do you know Meethi ji? What are fault is?
When we have something with us, we don’t value it… but when it goes away, we know it’s true value.
These children teach us, that what we don’t have, we shouldn’t cry on it… what we do have, we should accept and go forward.
Giving up, cursing yourself and immerse yourself in your grief, is not called life. Vishnu coughs a lot and turns around.
A teacher comes and recognizes Meethi and says are you Ichaji’s daughter.
I am so happy to meet you. Your mother has done a lot for this basti… she opened this pathshala and gave a new life to the basti’s children. Meethi reads the sign for Damini Pathshala and is shocked to see it.
She goes away from there and Vishnu runs after her. He asks what happened?
Meethi says, this is what you brought me to see? You knew that the same woman made this school who gave birth to me.
You wanted me to see that the woman who is a mother to all these children, how great she is?
Vishnu says no, I just wanted to make you realise that you misunderstand your mother.
Meethi says, you too? You also worship her like everyone else?
Vishnu tells her she’s misunderstanding him.
Meethi cuts her off and says, I don’t want to listen to you anymore. She can be bhagwaan for all of you, but not for me… let me make it clear. I was right a few minutes ago that I don’t have anyone in my life… no one stays in my life for long.
Meethi cries and runs away from there. Vishnu tries to stop her but she doesn’t.
Divya telling Jogi that I agree Mausiji has made a lot of mistakes… but she’s like a mother to me. She loved me like her own child.
Mukta comes and wants to say something about Nani… but Divya stops her and asks her not to interfere when elders are talking. Mukta stays quiet but listens to Divya/Jogi convo.
Divya says, I’m getting worried where she will be.
Jogi says, I understand everything that’s why I’m quiet after seeing everything.
Divya says, but she has no one but us. Where will she go in this age? She has BP problems, pain in her knees… I don’t know whether she took some money or not… Where is she?
Jogi says, nothing like this will happen.
Divya says, can we find out by just calling her once?
Mukta says, don’t worry, I will call Nani… you talk to her.
Mukta calls on Nani’s mobile… Nani picks it up and at the same time a waiter brings some food to her room and she talks to the waiter while Mukta listens. She complains about everything on the tray and Mukta listens to it… Divya asks what’s happening and Mukta puts it on speaker. Divya/Jogi also listen to Nani complaining about food! Mukta ends the call.
Mukta says to Divya, will you stop worrying about Nani? You heard yourself she’s okay and in a hotel.
Jogi smiles and says she’s eating ice-cream too… he says, it doesn’t matter to her whether she has someone in her life or not… she’s made of some different matter. Mukta’s right, let her find out the life’s reality… she’s just flying right now.
Jogi says, no one will call her after today and if she calls, no one will answer her. Divya is shocked.
Waiter gets food for Nani. Nani starts eating and thinks she missed a call… she picks up her mobile and sees a call from Thakur’s home. She thinks Divya must be missing me that’s why she called.
She calls back but Jogi doesn’t let Divya answer the phone. Divya cries. Mukta/Jogi looking at the phone.
Nani is thinking why is Divya not picking up the phone when she was calling me just now? She thinks I will call Meethi, she will tell me what’s going on in the house… but gets a message that the phone is not available.
Mukta picks up her phone in the lawn and declines the call when she sees it’s from Nani. Nani gets angry that she cut her call.
She calls again, and Mukta picks up angrily and says what do you want Nani? Why are you calling again?
Nani says, you’re talking to me like I’ve made a mistake in calling you. I just wanted to talk to you so I called. You know that my day started with talking to you…
Mukta says, Nani those days are over…
Nani says, what are you talking about? You feel burdened by talking to me even?
Mukta says, now I will talk to you only when you realise your mistakes.
Nani says, now the kids will teach me what I have to do? Do you know where I am? In what condition. Aren’t you worried?
Mukta says, no I’m not worried. Wherever you are, you’re very happy and comfortable. You just called so you could pretend to be unhappy and I call you back home. But sorry Nani, until you realise your mistakes and apologise Icha Ma, I won’t call you back in this house.
Nani says, you’re forgetting that I brought you up. I’m the one who gave you this sense and now you’re telling me that I should apologize to that servant’s daughter?
Mukta has flashbacks of her good times with Nani.
She says, yes Nani, I am indebted to you. But I’m sad that I listened to you. I wouldn’t have gone on the right path if I didn’t listen to you. I’m cutting the phone now.
Nani stops her and asks her to let her talk to Divya.
Mukta says, I’m not at home, but even if you call at home you’ll get the same reply. Barey Papa/Bari Maan don’t want to talk to you too. Now we will talk to you when you realise your mistakes.
Meethi comes thru the house gate at that time and listens to Mukta talking.
Nani gets angry that Mukku talked to me like that? My Mukku?
I can’t tolerate that.
Meethi comes up to Mukta and says I want to talk to Nani. Mukta says, wherever she is, she’s happy… it would be better if you don’t show her any sympathy because she will lead you astray with her fake tears. Meethi says, why would she do that? She loves me.
She’s the only one who’s worried about you.
Mukta says, it’s your misunderstanding.
She acts good with you because she wants to hurt your mother… she wants to take you far away from your mother.
Open your eyes Meethi, your mother is a great woman, she should be worshipped. Meethi gets angry and says, enough, I’m sick and tired of this this. She goes away.
Mukta thinks when will she understand Icha Maa. When will she get away from Nani’s magic?
Nani’s angry and saying, Mukta insulted me? Broke all ties and relations with me!
Mukta says, it’s not good to keep a relation with such a selfish person.
Nani says, I gave my entire life to Tappu’s daughter and today she slapped me on my face. You have tolerated enough insults Sumitra Devi… enough insults.
She goes to her suitcase and a photo of her and Mukta falls down and the frame breaks. She takes out the photo and thinks of Mukta’s rude words on phone. She lights a candle and burns Mukta’s side of the photo.
Nani calls Tej and says the time has come. Come and meet me. I will meet you tomorrow morning, but until then, keep your mouth shut.
Tej is surprised to hear this.
Nani picks up the burnt photo and says, you turned away from me… now you wait and see, how I turn your life around.
