Vishnu sits down next to a conscious Meethi. He apologizes to Meethi. I should have saved you but. She tells him not to apologize. I can understand. What’s in your heart comes in the mind at such a time. He wonders I don’t know why but only Mukta came to my mind at that point of time. I am very ashamed of myself. She says you should tell Mukta this not me. Your morals and values couldn’t stand in front of your love today right? Now you too accept it that your happiness / love and life is Mukta.
Your everything is Mukta….only Mukta. She keeps her hand over his which he too notices. I want you to be happy with her. Promise me now you will listen to your heart. You wont keep yourself in any bondages now. Promise me that you yourself will go and tell the truth to everyone. She is having a tough time staying conscious. Go to Mukta. She needs you more than me. Go to her. He looks at her hand and then removes it as she is asleep by now. He gets up and leaves from there.
Rohini is excited. I wont see tv from today onwards. I saw a fimly story in front of my eyes. Heroine is stuck in fire and hero watches this. He goes inside and comes back holding someone in his arms. Damini too is listening to their convo from outside. Rohini continues, but that girl isn’t his wife. Later we get to know that she is the lover of hero. Then the heroine who is still caught up in flames….her ex-husband jumps in the flames to save her. This way the couples will change. I have never seen such a picture in my life…the couples change! Nani sternly tells her not to talk rubbish. I am having a headache. And the fimly story that you have told me just now, don’t say it in front of anyone else or Ram hi Rakhey. Damini’s expression changes to confusion. Rohini nods. Damini leaves from there. Nani says my Mukta will get married to Aakash only while that Makkhi (Meethi) will spend her life with that beggar Vishnu only. Baki to Ram hi Rakhey!
Vishnu comes to see Mukta while Aakash goes to check on Meethi. Both the girls are unconscious. Meethi, in her sleep is about to turn towards the edge of the bed so Aakash runs and holds her head and makes her lie carefully. Vishnu sits down next to Mukta. Instrumental music plays in the background. Aakash too sits on the bed next to Meethi. He wants to caress her head but then stops himself. Vishnu looks at the tattoo on Mukta’s hand. Its all messed up now…fake tattoo and then looks at her in surprise. Aakash is about to take his hand away from Meethi’s when she holds onto it in her sleep. He stays put in his place. Vishnu looks at the tattoo closely and tries to rub it off…and it does to his surprise. He looks at the ink in his hand and recalls the fire incident….how they both were holding onto each other in the outhouse. He recalls Rathore’s words about how he dint even think about himself even as the life of the one he loves was on stake.
Mukku stirs in her sleep and wakes up. They both keep looking at each other. Meethi too opens her eyes and looks at Aakash. He is very much relieved and still in pain to see her thus. He touches her hand and she smiles slightly. He nods at her. Mukta thanks Vishnu for saving her life. Meethi too thanks Aakash for saving her life once again. He replies I will save you every time….even when you will be in trouble I will save you. If something would have happened to you today then how would I have lived? She says you will have to live Aakash. You will have to live without me. I am freeing Vishnu from this relation so he can live with Mukta but I am still bound by the promise that I have given to Anni. We can never be together.
Vishnu rubs the ink in his thumb and she looks at the tattoo in her hand. She says getting a name inked on the hand. He says just so I can see and feel the pain of seeing you with someone else? Would I be able to bear it or not? right? I know it Mukta. I have tried a lot to stay away from you. I kept thinking that only morals / values are my life not love. I tried to dismiss all the feelings of love but how can I lie to you now? you have come to know that you only are my life. Are you too ready to become mine? They share a long eye lock. She sits upright and tears flow from her eyes. They keep looking at each other without even blinking their eyes for even a second. Overwhelmed with emotions they both hug each other. She says I was always yours and will be yours forever. Vishnu is happy too. Rathore who was passing by from there, watches them thus and is happy to see his daughter happy.
Jogi tells everyone that the fire has been doused but everything has been ruined. rathore comes there….atleast a truth has surfaced before us because of this fire. This truth should have come out in the open long ago. Jogi is confused. Rathore says Vishnu saved Mukta today not his wife. Damini is alert. Has anyone thought why it is so? Jogi tells him to be clear. Rathore explains that Mukta and Vishnu love each other a lot. Everyone is shocked with this piece of news. I knew about this since some days but it came out in front of me on the day of Meethi’s marriage.
Mukta herself told me that Vishnu has confessed his love to her…promised to wed her. I myself spoke to him after which I decided to tell you everything on my own. I came downstairs to talk but before I could say anything police came (and took me away). Anyways I had a hope that in my absence someone would dare to say the truth in front of all of you. Those who should get married, should get married but it dint happen that ways. Meethi made one promise to you and that marriage took place. Nani is worried. Yet I kept telling Vishnu and Tappu to come out with the truth. Jogi looks at Tappu. I kept thinking about this only in the jail….whatever’s done has been done. But after I came here I realised that this is getting more complicated day by day and that is when I decided that maybe I too will have to act up to solve this riddle.
I met Aakash and we played the drama of Aakash and Mukta’s wedding in front of you all. My motive was that I knew Vishnu would even die following his values and morals…he is ruining his and Meethi’s life by doing that….I wanted to shake / arouse him that he should come out with the truth and that is what happened. Tonight on Diwali, without saying anything, simply by saving Mukta Vishnu has accepted it that he only loves Mukta and no one else. Everyone is just too shocked to react.
Damini isn’t ready to believe it. Vishnu and Meethi are husband and wife. They are married and this is the truth. This truth cannot change now. this relation cannot break for any reason ever. Rathore tries to talk to her calmly but she isn’t ready to listen. You think marriage is a joke? How can someone break a marriage like this? If my Meethi gets divorced again then her life will be ruined. Society will raise its fingers on her…have you thought of this? He tells her to calm down. Meethi isn’t happy in this wedding. Her husband loves someone else. You think she should be in a relation which is a lie? This would be wrong. Damini shakes her head disbelievingly.
Aakash says all this is wrong. I don’t understand why we cannot be together.
Rathore says we cannot tell our daughter to live a lie because we are scared of the society? She should live a relation where the husband and wife are actually just faking it? Why?
Aakash says, knowing fully well that Vishnu’s happiness is in living with Mukta then why aren’t you understanding it.
Rathore says especially knowing it that her husband loves someone else. When it came to saving someone today then he chose Mukta over her. He dint even think of Meethi.
Aakash asks Meethi that she is his wife then why dint he save her from that fire. Why did he save Mukta? Do you have an answer for that? Piya plays.
She tries to sit and he goes to help her in that. Do you have an answer to that? She says when I said that Vishnu doesn’t love Mukta. He wants to know the reason then. When they both love each other and can be together then why can we not? you still love me. When you were unconscious in that fire you were murmuring my name only. Then why cannot we be back together? She says I am not disagreeing with you. She keeps her hand over his. I still love you….a lot. But we cannot be with each other ever. I don’t want to lose Anni by gaining you.
